TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A person was assaulted at the Laos Transit Center, sustaining serious injuries. The incident occurred approximately an hour ago.

The Tucson Police Department reported that the weapon used in the attack has not been confirmed as a machete. The victim was taken to a hospital for further treatment.

The suspect fled the scene and has not yet been located. Officers and detectives are currently working on the investigation, which remains ongoing.
