New Auburn football head coach Alex Golesh is expected to bring former Tigers wide receiver and assistant coach Kodi Burns as an assistant coach a source around the Auburn facility confirmed with AL.com on Sunday
Burns spent last season as Golesh’s wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator at USF. He also worked under Golesh at Tennessee in 2021 as the wide receivers coach, when Golesh was the Volunteers primary play caller as offensive coordinator.
After his Auburn playing career ended, Burns followed Gus Malzahn to Arkansas State in 2012 and back to Auburn in 2013. Burns served as a graduate assistant at Auburn, before making stops in 2014 and 2015 as an offensive assistant at Samford and Middle Tennessee.
