CLEVELAND — With more wintry weather on its way to Northeast Ohio, the city of Canton is opening its winter warming shelter on Monday night.
According to a press release, the shelter at St. Paul AME Church, located at 1800 Tuscarawas St. East, will be open from 8 p.m. through 8 a.m.
“We owe it our most vulnerable residents to make sure they have a place to keep warm during these winter months,” said Canton Mayor William V. Sherer II. “I am grateful to all our community partners and donors who have made this venture possible.”
Guests will be admitted on a first come, first served basis with limited space. Food and water will be available.
