When the building on the corner of High Street and Ocean Boulevard burned down in 2022, it displaced three businesses and left a one-story, 7,264-square-foot carcass that still sits there today.
For the past year and a half, the building’s owners, Barn Realty, have been pushing to develop a mixed-use condo and retail project in its place. On Nov. 20, the project passed Hampton Zoning Board of Appeals, bringing it one step closer to fulfillment.
After several revisions from the owners’ initial five-story proposal, the project will now stand at four stories tall with two floors of retail space, a restaurant, and four residential condos. The Zoning Board also granted approval for on-site parking for residents.
Parking for the restaurant and retail spaces will be deferred to surrounding pub
