The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Goa on Sunday said that over 11.45 lakh enumeration forms, amounting to 96.5% of the total, have been collected and digitised during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state.
Out of a total of 11.85 lakh existing electors, so far, around 90,000 have been identified as “absent, shifted, dead or duplicate”, CEO Sanjay Goel said.
“When the draft electoral roll is published on December 9, these 90,000 voters will not be included in the draft roll. During the enumeration phase, when forms were distributed and booth-level officers (BLOs) went to their houses, they found that these 90,000 voters were either not traceable, or had shifted to another location or died, or they were informed that they had voted elsewhere,” he s
