The death is not being treated as suspicious

A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Essex. A police search was underway for missing Steven Baker before the tragic discovery was made.

The 50-year-old from from Gestingthorpe in Essex , was last seen in Sudbury on Tuesday November, 18. Police have reported that the body of a man was discovered on Friday evening (November 28) in Sudbury.

Steven had connections to Essex and Hertfordshire in addition to Suffolk. In the police's original appeal they had said that they were concerned for his welfare.

The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not currently believed to be any suspicious circumstances. Steven's family have been made aware of the latest update but formal identification procedures are yet to ta
