Authorities are investigating a targeted shooting at a children’s birthday party in Stockton that left four people dead, including three children, and injured others. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said suspects came to the gathering looking for a specific person. Property owner Vinod Kumar said the unit, located off Lucile Avenue near Thornton Road, was supposed to be a studio but was allegedly used an unauthorized banquet hall by a tenant he cannot reach. ATF and FBI teams joined deputies at the scene, where firearms were found on a nearby rooftop, though it is unclear whether the guns were used in the shooting. Investigators are exploring all possibilities and urging anyone with information to come forward.
