ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — As Thanksgiving comes to a close, some Atlanta travelers are grateful to be home.
“Everything was nice and smooth,” Luis Cruz, traveling home to Atlanta from Philadelphia, said.
Others who visited Atlanta for the holidays are hoping for the best as the Midwest continues to deal with weather complications from a severe winter storm.
“We’re gonna do whatever we need to do,” Richard Skinner, headed home to Indiana, said.
“I think the weather is coming, so I’m not sure, we’ve got our fingers crossed,” Richard’s wife, Anita, said.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport canceled just 46 flights in the last 24 hours, as of Sunday afternoon.
Chicago O’Hare has had more than 1,300 cancellations in 24 hours as of Sunday afternoon.
