FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — On Nov. 30, the University of Arkansas announced Ryan Silverfield as the 35th coach of the Razorback football team, ending a nationwide search.

Silverfield, the previous head coach at the University of Memphis, has decades of coaching experience under his belt. Here's a breakdown of his journey decades in the making.

Silverfield began his coaching career as an assistant at The Bolles School, his alma mater, in 1999. He coached in multiple roles at Hampden-Sydney College from 2000-03 before coaching at Memorial Day High School in 2004.

Silverfield returned to college ball in 2005 with a gig at Jacksonville University, then at Central Florida in 2006-07.

In 2008, Silverfield began coaching for the Minnesota Vikings, where he stayed until 2013. He again returned to
