CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — The Central Falls Police Department said that a woman was killed during a shooting on Nov. 29.

The shooting occurred on Washington Street near Chestnut Street around 11 p.m.

Officers who arrived on scene found the woman and a man had suffered gunshot wounds.

The woman was declared dead on scene, while the man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said that the victims appeared to have been targeted, but there was no threat to the public.
