The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 1:28 a.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between 4 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Morris County.

“Total snow and sleet accumulations between 1 and 4 inches, greatest at higher elevations,” can be expected according to the weather service. “Snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour are possible. The snow may mix with sleet before changing to mostly rain by Tuesday afternoon.”

“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute,” describes the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
