Six driving law and rule changes coming in December for motorists up and down the country have been revealed. The shake-up comes in the final month of the year, with Christmas now just weeks away for UK households.

The shake-up could impact electric car owners, from chargers to tax, while others impacted could be petrol and diesel road users. The changes come hot off the back of the Labour Party government's Autumn Budget.

In her November Autumn Budget, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves announced the introduction of pay-per-mile road charging for EV and plug-in hybrid drivers.
