MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Maybe Marshall hadn't shaken off the Thanksgiving turkey.
Whatever it was, the Thundering Herd (5-3) played uninspired basketball Sunday afternoon in a 66-56 loss to Morehead State (3-4) in a women's college game at Ellis T. Johnson Arena.
"Overall, we just didn't play very well today," Marshall coach Juli Fulks said. "We weren't energetic at all, and I thought that played out on both ends of the court."
The Herd trailed 28-25 at halftime. The Eagles opened the third quarter on a 16-7 run to take control.
Morehead State built its lead to 56-42 when Marie Sepp scored on a drive and scoop to open the fourth period, only to see Marshall storm back with 60-55 on a 3-pointer by Peyton Ilderton with 4:46 to play.
The Herd didn't make a field goal after that. Of particular c
