The Henry Ford Museum will offer free admission and free parking on December 1 to honor the 70th anniversary of Rosa Parks’ brave choice to stay seated on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
The moment became one of the most important events in the Civil Rights movement of the mid-20th Century.
At the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, visitors can see the real bus where Rosa Parks made her historic decision. Museum leaders say the free admission day is a chance for families, students, and community members to learn more about her life and to think about how one person’s courage can spark big change.
They hope people use the day to remember her strength, her kindness, and her lasting impact on both Montgomery and Detroit.
