LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A child is dead after a hit-and-run crash in the Iroquois neighborhood on Sunday, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Officers responded to a call at around 3 p.m. of a vehicle collision in the 4600 block of Taylor Boulevard on Sunday, Nov. 30.

At the scene, police found a crash involving several vehicles. Preliminary investigations and witness statements revealed that a car was driving north on Taylor Boulevard near Iroquois High School at a high speed when the driver ran off the shoulder of the road and hit a utility pole.

After hitting the pole, the car continued and crossed through all lanes of Taylor Boulevard before hitting another car that was driving southbound. The crash caused the second car to hit a third vehicle that was parked off the road.
