The Met Office has updated its weather warnings as heavy downpours cause significant disruption across Wales. An amber warning signalling possible “danger to life” is in force for parts of south and west Wales, with nearly a month’s worth of rain forecast to fall in 24 hours.
On Monday morning, a number of roads were closed due to the flooding, with trains also cancelled. Over 40 flood alerts and warnings have been issued by Natural Resources Wales , who warned that flooding to properties is expected in some areas.
