He has also lost the Duke of York title, which has been removed from the official Roll of the Peerage. This effectively ends his legal and public association with the dukedom. It also prevents the title from automatically passing to any heirs.

His subsidiary titles, Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh, have been rescinded at the same time. These are the additional titles traditionally held by the Duke of York. Their removal completes the full dismantling of his peerage.
