Two-way lineman Myles Coons had a breakout year for Saugerties this fall, leading the Sawyers to their first Section 9 championship since 1993.
It was some run, and it isn’t over yet. Coons will participate in the Section 9 Exceptional Senior Game at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Monroe-Woodbury High.
“This is a great opportunity, and it is going to be a good time,” Coons said. “It is one last chance to play with my teammates, but also a chance to play with the best in the section. I’m thankful to have this opportunity.”
Tentative rosters for the all-star game were released on Sunday. The game between Team American and Team National showcases seniors throughout the section selected by coaches. The teams will practice from Wednesday through Friday at Monroe-Woodbury High.
