SAN ANTONIO — A man is recovering after firefighters rescued him from a crashed vehicle early Monday on the northwest side, according to San Antonio police.
The crash happened around 2:28 a.m. in the 500 block of Cincinnati Avenue. Officers say the man was driving alone when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash that left his legs pinned beneath the dashboard. Officers say he crashed into the barrier near the highway.
San Antonio Fire Department crews arrived and cut the roof off the vehicle to reach the man. Firefighters were then able to free him and turn him over to EMS.
The 30-year-old man was taken to University Hospital in stable condition with what officials described as minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
