FARGO — For more than 30 years, Associate Pastor Mary Jo Holtey has spent her Sunday mornings at First Presbyterian Church in Fargo.
Come January, that will no longer be the case.
Holtey is retiring after 33 years of providing pastoral care, spiritual guidance and administrative service to one of Fargo's oldest congregations. Throughout her ministry, Holtey has cared for hundreds if not thousands of parishioners, including several generations of families. It's a special calling, one Holtey said she didn't hear immediately but one she's glad she answered.
