HOLLY, MI - The Holly Dickens Festival kicked off its Victorian-themed festivities throughout the village on Saturday, Nov. 29.
The annual event, now in its 52 nd year, offers a variety of Christmas activities from riding horse-drawn carriages and listening to Christmas carols to roasting chestnuts on an open fire.
The Village of Holly also offers dozens of stores and restaurants surrounding the festival for attendees to grab some gifts and tasty treats ahead of Dec. 25.
The event expects to host 30,000 to 40,000 attendees across its three weekends from Nov. 29 to Dec. 14, according to Holly Dickens Festival director Jerome Raska.
He said the festival’s popularity grows with each year, with this year being one of the largest.
