BAY COUNTY, MI – Traffic delays are expected along US-10 in Bay County next month as the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) prepares to start utility work on the roadway.

The utility work will be completed between North Union Road (which becomes Patrick Road near the work zone) and Midland Road near Midland, according to an MDOT news release. MDOT has issued a permit for the work.

The work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, and the project is expected to be completed at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, depending on weather conditions.

Full closures and rolling slowdowns will be implemented throughout the work zone for each direction of traffic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Michigan State Police (MSP) will maintain traffic control in the area.
