Rugby legend Kevin Sinfield is battling the wind and rain as he races through Suffolk in support of an Ipswich Town icon.
Sinfield is tackling seven ultramarathons in seven days to raise funds for people affected by motor neurone disease, inspired by the loss of his former teammate Rob Burrows.
The rugby star will end the first day at Portman Road this afternoon and will meet with Blues legend Marcus Stewart, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2022.
Crowds braved the rain at St Mary’s Church in Rougham to cheer the 45-year-old on, which was his first stop of the day.
Daniel Woodrow, headteacher of St Gregory’s Church of England Primary School in Sudbury, attended.
