A homelessman was set on fire while sleeping on a subway train moving though Midtown Manhattan early Monday, leaving him hospitalized, police said.

The 55-year-old victim was dozong an uptown No. 3 train approaching the Times Square stop when a man lit him on fire about 3:10 a.m., cops said.

The victim got off the train in Times Square, at which point a transit worker saw him and flagged down police officers posted in the station.

He was conscious and alert as medics rushed him to NewYork-Presbyterian Hosptial Weill Cornell in stable condition with severe burns to his legs, officials said.

It wasn’t clear if the attacker, who has not been caught, got off the train when the victim did or stayed on board.
