STATEN ISLAND, NY -- The Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC of Staten Island served more than 2,500 Staten Islanders during its Thanksgiving season programming, which featured holiday feasts, cultural events and community gatherings across multiple locations.
Hundreds of participants from the JCC’s Older Adult Centers, Department for People with Disabilities, Cornerstone and COMPASS programs attended holiday feasts. The South Shore Rotary Club contributed 30 Thanksgiving baskets containing turkey and traditional side dishes. The JCC’s Community Health Insurance Programs office distributed the baskets to families in need.
