According to the National Weather Service, precipitation will begin early Tuesday morning across the area as a low pressure system moves off the mid-Atlantic coast. While interior areas north and west of New York City may see snow, Staten Island residents can expect primarily rain throughout the day. The rain could become moderate to heavy at times Tuesday afternoon.
