Residents of an apartment complex in Robbinsdale have been displaced after a destructive fire on Sunday.

The fire, reported at 5:57 p.m. by a 911 caller who said flames were coming out of a first-floor window, occurred at the Point Apartments, located at 3829 West Broadway Avenue.

All 12 units were evacuated, though one person was trapped on the third floor and was rescued by firefighters who reached the individual's apartment via a ladder to the window.

One man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, which he sustained by going back into the burning building.

"All occupants of the 12 unit apartment building have been displaced as a result of this fire. The Red Cross has been called in and is working on shelter and other necessary items for the residents," Robbinsdale Poli
