The UK is braced for three days of snow blizzards as storms batter England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Up to 22 counties across the four nations could be blanketed with the white stuff.
The most severe conditions are expected between Wednesday, 10 December, and Friday, 12 December. England could see snow as far south as the coast - including Dorset - along with other south western counties.
English counties facing the highest risk include Dorset, Derbyshire, Somerset, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Cumbria, Northumberland, Durham, and Lancashire, whilst Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire are under threat in Wales, and Scotland's Highlands, Western Isles, Ayrshire, Dumfries, Galloway, Perth and Kinross are set to be struck.
