Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins "wants to move", claims Alan Pardew.

Watkins has scored just once in 19 appearances this season and did not make the starting XI for either of Villa's last two matches. Donyell Malen was given the nod for last Thursday's Europa League fixture against Young Boys and after scoring twice, the Dutchman retained his place for Sunday's 1-0 victory over Wolves at Villa Park .

Watkins was introduced as a second-half substitute in the Premier League encounter, playing for just 36 minutes, as Unai Emery's in-form side moved up to fourth in the table.

The winter transfer window will be open in exactly a month, and former West Ham, Newcastle and West Bromwich Albion boss Pardew believes that now is the time for the England international to move on.
