Canadians are already thinking about hosting holiday dinners, and while grocery deals are yet to be had, many know they will be spending more this season.
A new study, done by retail insight company Field Agent Canada , shared that 76 per cent of Canadians plan on hosting at least one gathering between Dec. 1 and Jan. 15, 2026.
Of the 1,900 people surveyed, half said they hoped to spend the same as 2024 for entertaining.

But 33 per cent of respondents said they already know they will spend more this year — which is likely due to larger guest lists and rising grocery prices, Field Agent Canada said.
According to the company, the average guest list had 17 names on it.
