Prince Harry described himself as ‘beautifully surprised’ as he got to know her.

When Harry popped the question, they were having a ‘cosy night in at the cottage, roasting a chicken’ when he ‘got down on one knee’. Meghan described it as ‘sweet, natural and very romantic’ and that Harry ‘managed to catch her by surprise’.

The couple said that they ‘never went longer than two weeks without seeing each other’ while they were dating.
