Canada’s government is willing to negotiate with more provinces beyond Alberta on lifting clean electricity regulations if they have equivalent policies, Energy Minister Tim Hodgson said.

The regulations, created by the former government under Justin Trudeau , took effect this year and are aimed at forcing provinces to create a net zero electricity grid by 2050, with a phased-in approach beginning in 2035.
