NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Police have identified the suspect who allegedly shot and killed a man inside Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News over the weekend .
Gary Carlton Moore III is charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm during a felony, discharging a firearm within an occupied dwelling, and felony carrying a concealed weapon (2nd offense).
Newport News police responded to the scene shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday, where they found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound inside one of the mall's stores. The victim, identified as 26-year-old Diamante Tre’veon Neal of Newport News, later died at the hospital.
Police said the shooting appears to be isolated, stemming from an argument between the suspect and the victim.
