LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - An autopsy has been scheduled for the 77-year-old man killed in a camper fire in north Lincoln Friday.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a camper fire in a parking lot near 27th and Theresa streets at 2 p.m.
The initial engine crew arrived on scene and began working to control the flames. During this time, firefighters found the man dead inside.
LFR said a woman and dog escaped the blaze.
Bystanders reported that the man initially got out of the camper but later went back inside before he died.
The investigation is ongoing.
