RICHLAND COUNTY (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says a man, and a woman were arrested after a child received treatment for burns in November.

The sheriff’s department says around 1 p.m. on November 19, RCSD deputies were notified of a 1-year-old who was being treated at an out-of-state burn center for burns on its body.

Deputies say the child received the burns on November 17.

The investigation, along with information provided by medical professionals at the burn center revealed the burns were sustained as a result of unlawful conduct, according to RCSD.

Investigators obtained warrants and arrested 32-year-old Darius Deyrer Jackson and 31-year-old Younga Pewu-Jackson on November 26 without incident.
