MCLEAN COUNTY, N.D. — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the Bottineau man killed in a crash Friday, Nov. 28, in central North Dakota.
According to a release, Gordon Lindquist, 88, was killed while driving a 2007 Toyota Camry east on Highway 37 at approximately 4:55 p.m.
While approaching the intersection with Highway 83, the Camry came to a stop, then entered the intersection. At that time, a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz driven by Liana Bachar, 32, of Tioga, was traveling south on Highway 83 and struck the Camry on the driver's side.
Lindquist, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bachar was injured and taken to CHI St. Alexius Health in Garrison. Charges against Bachar are under investigation.
