Police Scotland has issued an appeal for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in Bishopton on Saturday. The incident occurred at around 9pm on Saturday (November 29) when a white BMW was found on fire in a car park at the back of a premises on Greenock Road.

Fire services tackled the blaze and no one was injured, though the fire is being treated as wilful. Now, police are appealing for information on the incident, and are urging anyone who saw something suspicious around the time of the blaze to come forward.

Detective Constable Colin Leggat said: “The fire is being treated as wilful and we are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch.
