A block of flats has burst into flames in Glasgow as fire crews work to extinguish the large blaze. Emergency crews rushed to the the Park Pavilions new build development, the former Victoria Hospital site, on Grange Road in Battlefield this afternoon at around 2.41pm after receiving reports of a fire.
Black smoke billowed from the top floor penthouse apartment. Pictures of the aftermath showed the windows and surrounding walls charred from the inferno, with some smoke still coming from the flat.
Seven fire engines and a height appliance raced to the scene . It is understood that nobody was injured.
The development is owned by Beech Grove Homes, part of Sanctuary Scotland, and contains 153 luxury homes - with some selling for £350,000. It is not yet kn
