Two pilots presumed dead after a plane crash last week in New Orleans have been identified.
The pilots were identified as Taylor Dickey, 30, of Biloxi, and Navy Lt. David Jahn, of Illinois. Advertisement
Jahn was stationed in Biloxi. Both he and Dickey were working toward commercial pilot's licenses when their Cessna crashed into the lake a week ago.
Jahn's family issued the following statement regarding his death:
"David was a man of God and dedicated to his family. His character will live on in his wife and their expected child. He loved the gift of life and embraced living to the fullest, with a love of exploring, adventure, and travel, always guided by Jesus and his service to others and his country."
A Navy spokesperson issued the following statement regarding Jahn's death:
