Akron-based Acme Fresh Market is exiting Cuyahoga County with the closure of its Parma store as it is reducing all of its locations' hours for the winter.

The Parma store, at 1225 Pleasant Valley Road, will end its grocery operations at the end of the day Dec. 1, Acme Vice President of Marketing Katie Swartz confirmed via email.

"The Parma store location’s financial performance compelled the decision," Swartz said.

The store's pharmacy will continue operating through Dec. 15, Swartz said. Pharmacy hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, she said.

Acme leases the Parma store from Pleasant Valley Shopping Center Ltd, according to Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office records.
