TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Two people are fighting for their life after police say they were shot at an East Valley strip mall Monday morning.

Tempe Police confirmed the shooting happened in front of a Little Caesar’s pizzeria near Rural and Guadalupe roads just after 9 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot, who were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police said the suspect stayed on scene and have detained them.

Aerial video captured by the Arizona’s Family drone showed crime scene tape, evidence markers and first responders in the parking lot of the strip mall located on the southeast corner of the intersection.
