FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
A former firefighter in Fairfield Township received jail time and probation on charges stemming from misconduct earlier this year.
Earlier this year, the township announced that Jason Agoston, who is no longer employed by the township, pleaded guilty to one count of forgery and one count of falsifying documents. Officials say the charges are related to actions that Agoston undertook while attending Butler Tech for paramedic training. Advertisement
According to the release, the fire department became aware of Agoston's misconduct on Aug. 18 and notified school administrators the same day. Agoston was expelled from paramedic training four days later after Butler Tech conducted an internal investigation.
