A second teenager has died following a serious road traffic collision on the A19 in Sunderland. Emergency services were alerted just after 11pm on Monday, November 24, to a crash involving a yellow Vauxhall Corsa. The vehicle reportedly veered off the carriageway between the B1404 at Seaham and the A690 Herrington Interchange. The driver, a 19-year-old man, and his passenger, a 17-year-old girl, both sustained severe injuries in the incident. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
