OKLAHOMA CITY — Two Oklahoma City nonprofits recently received major grants from Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos through the annual Day One Families Fund .

City Care and City Rescue Mission , organizations that offer support and resources for families experiencing homelessness , each received $2.5 million grants. Along with 30 other grantees from 20 states, the grants were part of a total $102.5 million given to organizations serving families this year.

The Day One Families Fund, established in 2018, has now awarded 280 grants totaling more than $850 million since its inception.
