A body was found in the wooded area of Chatham Parkway just before noon on Monday.

One lane of Chatham Parkway near Ogeechee is closed for about 600 feet to allow law enforcement to work safely.

The Chatham County Police Department is leading the investigation, and public information officer Betsy Nolen said it is in its "very early stages."
