NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man is facing several charges after he allegedly was drunkenly waving around a gun in a parking garage at the Nashville Zoo over Thanksgiving weekend, according to an arrest affidavit.
Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department responded to the Nashville Zoo to reports of a person armed with a gun in a parking garage on Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers connected with zoo security as they were searching for the armed suspect. Shortly after, 26-year-old Tyler Cole McKenzie was found, apparently passed out, lying on the ground of the parking garage.
Officers searched McKenzie and reportedly found him armed with a handgun, according to the affidavit.
