A Lancaster County resident was suddenly awoken last week to his next-door neighbor standing over him wearing only underwear, police said in court documents.
Donald Roop, 47, was charged with burglary on Nov. 23, hours after police say he broke into his neighbor’s home on the 100 block of Black Horse Road in Paradise Township.
Court records show Roop lives next door.
The man ordered Roop to leave his house, but he did not comply until after the man pointed a gun at him, police said in court documents.
Court documents said the man did not know why Roop was there, but believed it was to steal from or assault him. The man’s baby daughter was asleep in an adjoining room.
Troopers arrived around 7:30 a.m. and said they found Roop standing near the property’s tree line, with a strong smell
