SPRINGFIELD — The new BJ’s Wholesale Club at Springfield Crossing opens Dec. 12, said a spokesperson.
The Marlborough-based retailer already has started advertising for new members and is hiring 100 to 150 workers.
The new 100,000-square-foot store is in Springfield Crossing, the $75 million shopping center at the site of the old Eastfield Mall.
Other stores planned there include a Target, a Chick-fil-A and a Hobby Lobby, Petsmart, La-Z-Boy, Chase Bank, Chipotle, Skechers shoes and Carter’s clothing for children.
The Hobby Lobby opens in the middle of February.
BJ’s Wholesale Club has said this location at 1655 Boston Road will be its first new BJ’s in Massachusetts in 13 years. BJ’s opened its first store in Medford in 1984, and now operates 25 clubs and 20 gas stations throughout
