It feels like every other week we get news of Netflix performing some kind of new “crackdown” that makes it less convenient to watch things. From password sharing to number of profiles to devices per account, Netflix has consistently peeled away things they once said they didn’t care about. The latest removal has us scratching our heads a bit. In news we saw at The Verge , Netflix has (rather unceremoniously) ceased allowing users to cast programming from their phones to televisions, except in the cases of some older Chromecast devices.
An updated help page on Netflix’s website , first reported by Android Authority , says that the streaming service “no longer supports casting shows from a mobile device to most TVs and TV-streaming devices,” and instead instructs people to us
