White House physician Sean Barbabella reports that U.S. President Donald Trump is in "excellent overall health."
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt read a statement from Barbabella during the briefing on Monday.
The statement said that Trump’s physical exam included “advanced imaging” that is "standard for an executive physical" in Trump’s age group.
Barbarella concluded that the cardiovascular and abdominal imaging was "perfectly normal."
Leavitt, has said that the president received “advanced imaging” at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center “as part of his routine physical examination” and that the results showed Trump remains in "excellent overall health."
During an exchange with reporters as he traveled back to Washington from Florida over the weekend, Trump said he'll release the results of his MRI test that he received in October.
He said the results of the MRI were “perfect.”
The White House has declined to detail why Trump had an MRI during his physical in October or on what part of his body.
